in plain sight. Or at least that’s what they seem to think.
If you ever played hide-and-seek in your early childhood, you were probably no better than these hide-and-seek masters. Until around 7 years of age, most children are not yet sufficiently cognitively developed to be able to take another individual’s perspective into consideration. Therefore, when they close or block their eyes, not only can they not see anything, but they think that nobody else can see anything either.

The DARPA Robotics Challenge (DRC) is a two-year Pentagon-funded competition which pushes the contestants to design the most humanistic robots possible. The aim of the challenge is to develop robots that will be able to perform human-like functions in environments and conditions that are not suitable or safe for human beings. The first physical trials were held on the 20th of December at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Florida. Jason Rourke, a 42-year old bike shop owner, spent 10 days and £5,000 building aspecialized mountain bike that can go over 110 mph. Commissioned by motorcycle racer, Guy Martin, Rourke built and then rode his bike straight into the record books at an astonishing speed of 112.94 mph.

German automaker, Audi, is preparing to reveal it’s new automotive achievement at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show. This is the second time that Audi is unveiling something new at CES instead of a traditional auto show. Last year, Audi unveiled its autonomous driving and parking technologies, this year the company will unveil its Sport Quattro Laser light Concept.
