Samsung Galaxy A5: First pictures and details allegedly surface

Samsung's rumored Galaxy A5 employs the company's new aesthetics.

The first images of the so-called Galaxy A5 have landed online, giving us a look at the first smartphone after the Samsung Galaxy Alpha to work premium materials into its build.

Photos and details obtained by Samsung-tracking blogSamMobile show a smartphone it claims to be the midrange A5. The pictures certainly resemble the Alpha. What's more, the Galaxy A5 is the first of three rumored devices to fall into the Galaxy A line.
According to SamMobile's sources, the A5 is neither metal nor plastic but something that "feels cold in the hand." It sounds as though Samsung could be using a new blend of materials for its casing.
Specifications for the alleged Galaxy A5 include a 5-inch 720p HD display, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Internally, we should look for a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 16GB of storage, and a 2,300mAh battery. Decidedly midrange by today's standards, we can also expect a lower price point.
